The Misunderstanding of a ‘Reactive Dog Hawaii’. They don’t need more rudeness and control, but understanding.

Moki & Koa

We are so happy we found Mela with Sunshine Dogs Hawaii.

Our dog Moki was a three year old mixed Pit Bull breed with – what we have thought – fear aggression. No need to say that we tried everything to overcome his anxiety. Of course we took him to traditional obedience classes with the hope to reach our goal. But without doubt his behavior was worsen and he became more and more aggressiveReactive Dog Hawaii

Our vet suggested putting him down! We were heart broken.

Then we found Mela and everything changed. With her help and guidance we have come a long way. Our relationship is now based on trust und mutual understanding. We had to learn how much our behavior created his behavior. Needless to mention, Moki is not longer a fearful and reactive dog.

The most beautiful part is, the next time we went to the vet they asked us several times, if he was the same dog. They couldn’t believe it.

At the end we even got a second dog. Koa is also a rescue dog who was very neglected. He was very skinny and must have been homeless for a while. He also was very reactive to other dogs and people. Of course we took him to Sunshine Dogs Hawaii as well. Reactive Dog Hawaii

Although there is so much more we could say, but it comes down to this:

We highly recommend Sunshine Dogs Hawaii to everyone, but especially to dog guardians with a reactive dog. Don’t give up, your dog is worth to save!
